Join the team at Fairwinds-Nantucket’s Counseling Center, situated on the historic and beautiful island of Nantucket, MA 30 miles off the coast of cape cod. Fairwinds seeks graduate-level masters level therapists or fully licensed (LCSW/LICSW or LMHC) therapists to join our team and provide on-call crisis response 24/7, 365 days a week, 12-hour shifts. Clinicians will respond in the community, at the hospital, at schools, and in other agencies. Clinicians may also co-response with the police when necessary. Candidates must be willing to relocate to Nantucket. Great work environment, paid professional development available, paid clinical supervision, and generous salary and befits. Job Type: Full and Part-time available. Must be willing to work day and night shifts as well as be on call.
Salary: $82,000 – $110,000 a year

Schedule: Monday to Sunday 24/7, 365 days a week
On-call rate/ Salaried or Hourly options
Provide on-call coverage to address the needs of behavioral health patients. This will include mental health evaluations, assessing and securing in-patient placement in addition to other placements like detox, crisis stabilization units, intensive outpatient programs’ etc. Safety planning and referrals to therapy/med management.
Clinicians will host family meetings and interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss the care plans and provide a warm hand-off and follow-up needed.
Clinicians will be responsible for locating beds, obtaining insurance authorizations, updating facilities ongoing, and following up with any clients discharged home.
Clinicians will collaborate with police, schools, psychiatry, and staff at Fairwinds.
Clinicians may do co-response with local police.
Crisis experience and experience in mandated reporting/safety planning are preferred.
Experience in diagnosis based on DSM-5 criteria and provide appropriate psychosocial interventions.
Work collaboratively with the care team within the agency as well as collaborate with other outside agencies.
Work collaboratively with the clinical director, director of operations, and office management.
Knowledge and experience of evidenced-based and trauma-informed approaches to those with substance use disorders, co-occurring mental health disorders, and recovery.
Knowledge in crisis response and assessing safety and need for higher-level care.
High-quality written and verbal skills.
Excellent time management skills and ability to meet reporting and client chart deadlines.
Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as within a multidisciplinary treatment team.
Graduate degree in social work or mental health counseling.
Ability to Section 12 clients preferred.
Be Massachusetts licensed (or licensure-seeking) in LCSW, LICSW, or LMHC
Possess a valid driver’s license and personal transportation
Pass a background check- CORI/SORI
Spanish speaking is preferred; other languages are a plus.
