White Elephant Resorts, a collection of award-winning boutique hotels and luxury resorts located on Nantucket, Massachusetts and Palm Beach, Florida, is currently seeking a full-time, year-round AV/IT Help Desk Support Administrator.
This is an entry level IT/AV position involving supporting multiple function spaces for A/V needs, as well as multiple properties for IT support. The right candidate will be highly motivated and eager to learn about IT and A/V systems.
Responsibilities include:
*Support IT needs of the organization as part of the IT Helpdesk team
*Oversee the use and maintenance of all A/V systems, including projection and presentation systems in meeting rooms and halls.
*Work with event staff to setup and test A/V equipment prior to all events on property
*Provide routine maintenance on all presentation and music systems. Plan for EOL replacement of all equipment as needed.
*Basic cabling of network and AV related equipment as needed. Ability to troubleshoot network, AV and telephone cabling issues.
*Provide TIER I & II support to staff and guests with issues relating to computer systems, TV, Telephones and Wi-Fi connectivity.
*Prepare and install new equipment including printers, computers, monitors, wifi, etc.
*Work as part of an on-call rotation with other members of the IT department
*Document all service tickets in IT Ticketing system.
*Maintain positive guest relations at all times, resolve complaints expeditiously and ensure guest satisfaction.
*Other duties as assigned
Must Have:
*Excellent communication skills
*Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
*Close attention to detail
*Willingness to learn and grow with the department
*Basic understanding of a computer network and computer systems
