We are seeking a Pastry Chef the 2022 seasonal position of Pastry Chef who will be responsible for menu planning as well as the supervision of all pastry employees.
Responsibilities:
-Plan, prep, set up and prepare all areas of the Pastry/Bake department to include, but not limited to, pastries, desserts, -breads, ice creams, sorbets, creams, simple syrups, jams, displays/centerpiece
-Maintain and strictly abide by State sanitation/Health regulations and Hotel requirements
-Meet with Sous Chef to review assignments, anticipated business levels, changes and other information pertinent to the job performance
-Establish priority items for the day
-Prepare amenity orders for Room Service
Skills:
-3 years experience as a Pastry Chef at a resort style Hotel or Restaurant
-Food handling certificate
-Comprehend and follow recipes
-Expand/condense recipes.
Applicants should also work well under pressure, possess excellent communication skills, be organized, flexible, self-motivated, and have a great sense of humor. Requirements include a minimum of 2 years in a similar position.
