The White Elephant Nantucket’s restaurant, the Brant Point Grill, is seeking a seasonal Assistant Restaurant Manager for the 2022 summer season to oversees all aspects and functions of the food and beverage outlets.
The main focus of this position is to direct the daily operations of the Restaurant while maintaining and focusing on the proper execution of service, training, reservations and overall organization of department.
This position starts immediately and runs through December 2022.
Responsibilities:
-Maintain a positive working environment at all times
-Maintain a high level of professionalism with all interactions with all coworkers
-Direct the proper execution of all services; restaurant, room service and banquets
-Enforce all standards of service and consistency of all products through a structured training program
-Work with Events Manager, banquet staff and kitchen staff as needed to execute all on premise events as delegated by the Restaurant Manager
-Train and support supervisors and lead associates
-Follow the proper opening and closing duties
Applicants should work well under pressure, possess excellent communication skills, be organized, flexible, self-motivated, and have a great sense of humor.
Requirements include previous supervisory or management experience in an upscale restaurant. Experience in an upscale dining restaurant is required.
