Fun-fast paced Rental Shop on Nantucket Island is seeking to add multiple members to its rental team this summer. Nantucket Bike Shop has been the island’s largest bicycle and scooter rental shop for over 40 years, with multiple island locations. We are urgently seeking staff members to work as general rental shop staff at the front door and as ‘bike runners’ inside the shop, at one of our two island locations.
General shop staff duties include, but are not limited to; assisting customers, organizing/moving bikes, installing baskets, providing directions, cleaning equipment, setting up equipment for customers and providing the highest quality customer service. Ideal candidates would be highly motivated individuals with great people skills and an ability to lift/move bicycles on a regular basis. NBS is open early Summer through Mid-October. Ideal candidates could work from now until Labor Day (Sept. 7th).
We are in need of full-time staff members, with some part-time positions available for the right candidate(S).
Starting at $16-17 per hour, with potential wage increases based on performance and experience.
Please be aware that we have very limited employee housing on island for the right candidates.
